The Hirer's Obligations:

We offer the above benefits in exchange for a set premium on the hire rate. In  return we need basic co-operation from our customers. The equipment is hired under main terms and conditions and the HIRER must ensure that:

• ONLY suitably trained and qualified personnel operate the equipment hired
• ALL equipment is safely stored in a locked compound when not in use
• ALL weekly and daily checks such as oil, water, battery, fuel and safety are carried out properly
• Any theft or damage is reported to the hiring branch as soon as it is discovered
• The operator must hold a valid training license for the equipment used

Powered access equipment is the modern, efficient way to work safely at height in a wide range of applications and hiring from RAPID ACCESS makes it much easier and cost effective. All RAPID ACCESS machines are hired out the under main rental terms and conditions of hire, whereby the HIRER is responsible for the loss or damage to the equipment hired. RAPID ACCESS offers the "RapidGuard" Damage & Loss Waiver Scheme to customers wishing to protect themselves against liability for  damage or loss to hired equipment, assumed under the terms of the hiring agreement, while at locations within the Middle East.

The scheme is available for both Self Operated and RAPID ACCESS Operated hires. (A RAPID ACCESS Operated hire is one in which RAPID ACCESS is contracted to provide equipment together with an Operator.) Whilst NOT an insurance policy, it offers customers peace of mind against machine damage/loss charges, subject to them meeting basic  obligations under the hire contract. It offers you protection from the costs arising from accidental damage. Despite everyone’s best efforts machines can be accidentally damaged whilst in use.

Joining the scheme means:

• No liability for the costs of accidental damage. These can be very high, particularly if there is severe structural damage, or the electronic or hydraulic systems are affected 
• No unforeseen charges which can cause project costs to over-run
• No management time wasted in disputes and negotiating damage charges No need to claim on a separate insurance policy - and then  possibly discover that the excess exceeds the costs of the damage

Exclusions from the scheme 

• Damage to filters and fuel lines due to use of improper/ contaminated fuel
• Damage by fire when hot work is being undertaken, unless discussed and agreed in advance
• Corrosion caused by chemicals, unless discussed and agreed in advance
• Damage to third party property or persons
• Loss or damage when usage in violation against laws and regulations
• Loss or damage incurred during transport organized by the customer

RapidGuard is aimed at helping the Hirer prevent cost overruns cause by using the machines in a satisfactory matter. It will not cover repeated unreported damages to the machines or using the machines in a negligent manner. RapidGuard is an option that RAPID ACCESS reserves it’s right to offer in cases when the customer will use the machines in environments that involve using high-temperature conditions, usage of chemicals or usage of firework regularly. The RapidGuard terms and conditions are not meant to supersede or replace the RAPID ACCESS rental T&Cs. In the event of a conflict, inconsistency, or ambiguity between the provisions of the T&Cs and any other terms and conditions stated in subsequent the main rental the RAPID ACCESS T&Cs will prevail. If the RapidGuard T&Cs are not repudiated within 5 working days of them being sent, they are considered as acknowledged and accepted by the Hirer.
