Telescopic Boom Lift @ Dubai Clock Tower
For more than 40 years the Deira Clock Tower in Dubai is as recognizable as the Eiffel tower is to Paris. Built in 1964 it had not changed until November 2008, apart from structural renovations in 1972.

For more than 40 years the Deira Clock Tower in Dubai is as recognizable as the Eiffel tower is to Paris. Built in 1964 it had not changed until November 2008, apart from structural renovations in 1972. However last year Omega installed a new time keeping mechanism and new Roman numerals. This year work began on replacing these with Arabic numerals in conjunction with Rapid Access. Workers were able to achieve what would ordinarily be a difficult task with ease thanks to the specialized access equipment available at Rapid Access. This application required a high outreach capability and the straight telescopic boomlift with 40 meter reach was able to achieve this. With a rotatable 360 degree turntable and boom that can be raised or lowered from vertical to below horizontal we were happy to provide the ideal access solution to such a popular landmark in the city.
