What is your new launch for this year?
This year we are adding more than 400 new powered access machines to our regional fleet including a range of ultra booms, spider access equipment and truck mounted powered access units. Our regional fleet of more than 4,000 machines ensures that our customers have unrivalled access to the right machine to every application.

Can you share more about your services?
The new fleet includes a mix of telescopic SX-180, SX-150 boom lifts and articulating ZX-135/70 boom lifts, as well as Genie Xtra Capacity (XC) telescopic SX-135 XC and SX-125 XC models. These units offer working heights up to 56.86m and horizontal reaches to 24.38m (80 ft). These are some of the largest booms available in the marketplace and represent a number of regional firsts. In addition to the ultra booms and a range of scissor lifts we are bringing in a fleet of JLG spider units including the JLG X26J crawler boom with a working height of 26m. This new JLG spider unit combines a light weight machine, non-marking tracks and a great range of working heights and horizontal outreach making them ideal for indoor applications.

Why is this product so important for the FM industry, and why should they buy this product from you?
We have the largest fleet in the Middle East giving FM providers a range of 4,000 machines to choose from. Access platforms provide a safe and easy access to work at height tasks. Being compact and low in weight, Spider platforms are particularly popular in the FM sector. They are quick, easy to deploy and deliver unrivalled outreach at lower levels where it is needed the most. Its great flexibility and manoeuvrability make it ideal for difficult to reach and narrow spaces — both indoors and outdoors.

When was your company established, and how long has it been in the Middle East?
Rapid Access is the largest supplier of powered access equipment in the region with over 4,000 machines across nine depots in the GCC. Rapid Access was established in 1996 and is the Middle East business unit of the Lavendon Group, now part of Loxam which acquired the Lavendon Group of companies earlier this year.
