The 2018 Training and Work at Height Open Day was held on 30th September 2018 at the Rapid Access Head Office, Dubai.

We had a great response with attendees from various industries and professions including contractors, engineers, safety officers, operation managers and QHSE managers.

The event included sessions with speakers from IPAF, PASMA and HABC. Jason Woods, from IPAF Middle East, demonstrated the practical elements of an IPAF course. Lamis Al Kaisi, from PASMA, carried out a fault-finding exercise using a PASMA tower and explained how to avoid the commonly occurring work at height dangers in the Middle East. Ed Dawson, from HABC, explained the differences between ‘Fall Arrest’ and ‘Work Restraint Harness Systems’, followed by a demo of the course - AVOID. PREVENT. MINIMISE.

PMV LIVE - BIG 5 2015

Selfies at height

It was our second edition of the #selfiesatheight held during our participation in the PMV Live 2015 at the Big 5 from 23rd to 26th November at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The stand
Located in the outdoor area of DWTC, our stand was much bigger and spacious than the previous year. We held our much-awaited #selfiesatheight on a 27m boomlift along with several of our machines on display.
The stand was strategically located to have the iconic Emirates Towers and the stunning Shk. Zayed Road skyline as a beautiful backdrop for the selfies.

The selfies
The event was a huge success once again. We had a massive crowd on each day for the #selfiesatheight. The event had become so popular that numerous visitors referred to us as “the Selfies at Height” company.

BlueSky Live demonstration
We also took part in the Big 5 live demonstration where we did a special demo of our innovative BlueSky range of attachments using a sample basket attached with different bluesky products.

Big 5 KSA: 2015

The Big 5 KSA took place between the 9th and 12th March 2015. Rapid Saudi Arabia's decision to take part was part of the ongoing sales and marketing focus in KSA with the aim on increasing our client base and understanding of the local market. The event welcomed over 15,000 visitors and is the largest of its kind in the country.

Our involvement was project managed by the Regional Marketing Team who also carried out the innovative stand design. Each day our stand was manned by the Jeddah Sales Team (Abdulrasheed, Abdulrazzaq, Mushtaq and Khassim), Alan Bishop and Alexis Potter. We would also like to thank Edgar and the Jeddah Engineering / Operations Team who assisted with the machine deliveries and removals.

PMV LIVE - BIG 5 2014

Selfies at height

We took part in the 2014 edition of PMV Live, co-located with the Big 5. The Selfies at Height feature was a great success; hundreds of visitors flocked to our Boom Lift to be taken 27 meters in the air and snap a selfie!

The stunning backdrop included Burj Khalifa and Emirates Towers and visitors were sent their selfie in a digital frame as a souvenir.
